Statement from ACTR on Discrimination
As scholars and teachers of languages and cultures of a region in which public discourse and dissent are often suppressed, ACTR policies prohibit discrimination in any form in any of our programs or activities.
ACTR programs, in particular those abroad, strive to provide students and teachers with opportunities to travel, study, and conduct research in diverse environments to foster cultural humility.
Participation in our programs helps to prepare and equip individuals to be global citizens. We are, therefore, committed to ensuring that we are committed to preventing discrimination in our organization, activities, and programs. Through our meetings, professional development initiatives, and study abroad programs, we seek to create dialogue and conversations that foster cultural humility in accordance with our mission.
