Verbs of Motion: Keep it Simple and Meaningful

In this webinar, Irina Six presents the innovative approach to explanation of the verbs of motion implemented in her study materials for students of Russian at Novice and Intermediate levels. She explains the rational of regrouping the verbs of motion in two types based on presence vs. absence of unidirectionality (M-verbs  for “the verbs of manner” and the ABC verbs for “the route description verbs”) with specific order of presenting both prefixed and non-prefixed (root) verbs in each category. The presenter will also recommend assignment types geared towards using each category in actual communication at Novice and Intermediate levels.
